This site originally started out as a personal experiment (and should still be considered so!). I wanted to see if I could easily catalog and map area yard and garage sales. The listings were always out there (nwclassifies.com, craigslist.org) but there was no central way to map them that I had found.

Then came Google Maps which provided an API in which to tie map data. So after about a week of dinking around this is what I came up with.

Things coming soon, I hope:

• Link to printable map with description of that sale
• Separate subpages for areas like "Eastside" "Seattle Metro"
• Ability to plot a "course" through selected sales
• Portability to all Craigslist-served communities (my location-finding code would need a complete rewrite)
